The standardized exam that serves as an entrance test for admission into Master and Ph.D. programs in the US, UK, Canada, and many other countries, GRE is created by ETS – Educational Testing Service. They prepare tests for more than 180 countries around the world.
Use a planned approach
It is possible to study for GRE in two months. Use a stepped approach. The first part is preparing the subject material. The second is to improve your speed by solving questions faster. Here the system works only when you know the answers – if you try to improve speed without getting the knowledge, you will end up fooling yourself and doing more wrong things faster and faster. That is simply senseless.
Choose a good institute
The right way is to ante up and get all your study material together preferably from an old institute that has been preparing students for ages. This way, you will not go wrong, ever. This GRE institute will have all the answers you need because they have been training students year after year. So, that is the first step – joining up for getting training. Once this is done, you must assess your capacity.
Find out what you do not know
Take one or two mock tests and find out how you fare. Since there are many topics you have not yet covered in your studies (depends on when you take your test), you may not be able to answer everything. But, it attempting a mock test will give you an idea of how serious the problem is and what you should do about it. You will know which topics to cover so you fare better in your next attempt. You can take the GRE once in 21 days subject to a maximum of 5 times a year.
Documentation needed for the exam
The only identity proof you need to take the test is your passport. It proves your identity in India. You cannot use any other document for identity proof. There are no age, qualification, timing requirements set for appearing in the exam. The university that accepts your GRE scores may have their own requirements. For each program, they have age, qualification, and experience related filters.
